Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism Policy
TECHNO REVIEW: Journal of Technology and Management (TRJTM) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. Plagiarism is considered a serious ethical violation and is not tolerated in any form.
Plagiarism refers to the use of another person’s ideas, processes, results, data, or words without proper acknowledgment of the original source. Self-plagiarism occurs when authors reuse substantial portions of their own previously published work without appropriate citation or justification. This includes duplicate publication, redundant publication, or minimal modification of earlier work presented as new research.
TRJTM is an online, peer-reviewed, open-access quarterly journal publishing original research in Management, Technology, Engineering, and Computer Science. The journal strictly opposes all forms of unethical publication practices and takes immediate action against plagiarism at any stage of the publication process.
All manuscripts submitted to TRJTM are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarized content during initial screening or peer review are rejected outright and not considered for publication.
If plagiarism is detected after publication, the Editor-in-Chief will conduct a preliminary investigation, possibly involving a specially constituted ethics committee. If the manuscript is confirmed to contain plagiarism beyond acceptable limits, TRJTM reserves the right to notify the author’s affiliated institution, university, employer, and funding agency, where applicable.
In confirmed cases, the journal may publish a formal notice linked to the original article, identifying the ethical breach and citing the original source. Depending on severity, the article may also be formally retracted in accordance with COPE guidelines.
Types of Plagiarism
- Complete Plagiarism: Direct reproduction of previously published content, ideas, or data without any modification or citation.
- Partial Plagiarism: Extensive copying or close paraphrasing from one or more sources without proper attribution, even if some rewording is attempted.
- Self-Plagiarism: Reuse of an author’s own previously published work, in whole or in part, without appropriate citation. Complete self-plagiarism includes republishing the same article in another journal.
